GREAT WAR HISTORY SITES

The NEW YORK STATE MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM has an excellent section devoted to the 27th Division in the Great War. I consider them a valuable resource and owe them much for the help they have provided to this website over the past several years.

THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS has all the WWI issues of STARS AND STRIPES posted. There are sveral ways to access each issue. The PDF format is the best but you will need a current version of Adobe Acrobat to view the paper. If you're not on a broadband connection you might want to use the OCR (Optical character recognition) version but it's very difficult to follow. Figure out what works for you.

Easily one of the finest Great War History sites on the web.
Informative, thorough and well laid out.
¡¡¡¡¡SETS THE STANDARD!!!!!

Both of the above sites are by the Great War Society. TRENCHES ON THE WEB covers numerous topics of interest on WWI subjects. The DOUGHBOY CENTER link takes you to the site directory.
